Rising Property Valuations in Denver Metro Area

Property assessors in the Denver metro area announced significant double-digit increases in property valuations, affecting property tax payments for homeowners. The highest increase was observed in Douglas County at 47%, while the lowest was in Denver at 33%. Other counties, including Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Elbert, Jefferson, and Larimer, also experienced notable increases. 

Property owners will receive their assessments by May 1. They are encouraged to review their valuations and visit their respective county assessor’s website to research sales in their area during the specified timeframe. Property owners can file an appeal if their values are incorrect, and the appeals process varies for each county.
